Using EV Connect Charging Stations FAQs
Do I need an app to charge my EV?
No, at EV Connect stations you can start a session by scanning a QR code without downloading an app. The mobile app is optional for drivers who want additional features like tracking and station search.
Which EV Connect stations have the Charged Up feature enabled?
The feature will work on all EV Connect Network charging stations. To access, simply scan a QR code and get started.
Note: Only EV Connect charging stations deployed since 2023 will have the latest QR code stickers, and this feature is not designed for roaming stations.
Can I pay for EV charging with Apple Pay?
Yes, EV Connect Network stations support Apple Pay (and Google Pay) so you can start and pay for a session quickly without entering payment details. If you prefer, you can also use a credit card.
How do QR code EV chargers work?
You scan the QR code on the charger with your phone, which opens a mobile web page to start a charging session. From there, you confirm payment and begin charging your vehicle in just a few taps.
