The Texas Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Program (TxVEMP) has provided grant funding for the purchase and installation of Level 2 charging equipment for light-duty zero emission vehicles in Texas. In addition, utility companies offer generous rebates for installing charging stations. Austin Energy, for example, offers grants up to $10,000 for purchasing and installing new EV charging infrastructure.
