EV Connect wins contract to install and manage 300 charging stations in New York State

EV Connect, provider of a cloud-based charging station management platform, has won a $4-million contract from the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to install and manage approximately 300 Level 2 charging stations throughout New York State, in addition to 100 charging stations the company is already managing under a 2013 agreement.

For this expanded program, EV Connect will partner with GE and EV Box to provide the charging stations, and with local contractors for the installations.The NYPA project requires that the hardware and software be built on an open standards-based architecture. The EV Connect platform provides charge station-agnostic command & control; enterprise and energy systems integration via an open API; driver communications and support; and demand-response functionality across multiple charging networks.
