That Sweet Irony

Isn’t it Ironic?

We couldn’t make this up if we tried.  EV Connect just moved offices to a new building in downtown Los Angeles.  The building is (pre-) historic in both its architecture, interior, and name:  “The Petroleum Building”.

We get a kick out of it and love the irony.  Every day we come to the office to work on the cutting edge of automobile transportation, we get out of gilded elevators and walk down echoing halls of heavy, dark wood and marble floors.  If you listen carefully, you can almost hear the loud click-click-click of manual typewriters and smell the smoke from burning Chesterfields.

The building was built by oil magnate Edward Doheny in 1925 – the same year Chrysler was founded and Scotch tape was invented.  So stop on by in your EV (complete with its own flux capacitor) and time travel back with us to the age of Gatsby.

We’re now located at 714 W. Olympic Blvd., Suite 939, Los Angeles, CA 90015.  Our phone numbers remain the same so feel free to call us too.
