EV Connect Honored As Gold Stevie® Award Winner In 2020 America Business Awards®

Stevie winners will be celebrated during virtual awards ceremony on August 5

El Segundo, California, June 16, 2020 EV Connect was named a winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Energy Industry Innovation of the Year category in The 18th Annual American Business Awards® today.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live event on Wednesday, August 5.  Tickets for the virtual event are now on sale.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.  EV Connect was nominated in the Energy Industry Innovation of the Year category.

EV Connect is recognized as a pioneer for its ground-breaking advances in the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. Through its innovative cloud-based management platform, EV Connect provides unprecedented control and big data insights for and between charge station manufacturers, EV charging site owners, utilities, and EV drivers. EV Connect makes charging networks accessible and flexible by leveraging open standards to avoid locking customers into proprietary systems and walled-gardens.

EV Connect developed the industry’s first certification process to ensure that new charger models have the diagnostic, communications, interoperability, and transaction features required to support a wide range of EV charging business models and applications. For utilities like The New York Power Authority, DTE Energy, Avista Utilities, and Southern California Edison, EV Connect supports deployment and optimization of EV charging infrastructure by providing critical insights into EV charging to ensure a smooth transition to electricity as a transportation fuel.

“The EV revolution is at risk of failing if the industry does not build a streamlined, efficient, and effective user experience across the entire EV value chain–EV Connect is doing just that,” said Jordan Ramer, CEO of EV Connect. “We are excited to have won this iconic award and we look forward to supporting utilities and site owners as they scale EV charging infrastructure, and providing EV drivers an outstanding charging experience.”

More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“Despite the toughest business conditions in memory, American organizations continue to demonstrate their commitment to innovation, creativity, and bottom-line results,” said Stevie Awards President, Maggie Gallagher. “This year’s Stevie-winning nominations are full of inspiring stories of persistence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and compassion. We celebrate all of their stories and look forward to showcasing them during our virtual awards ceremony on August 5.”
