What is the PowerMIDrive™ Program About?

Consumers Energy is offering rebates to commercial customers who install Level 2 or DCFC charging stations under the PowerMIDrive™ Program. PowerMIDrive™ is part of Consumers Energy’s commitment to keep the grid operating efficiently and reliably for all energy customers in their service area. In addition to making charging easier, the program will deliver benefits to all electric customers by rewarding EV drivers to charge their vehicles during off-peak hours – which helps manage the demand placed on the grid. And managing that demand helps control rates for everybody.

What are the Incentive Amounts Available in the Program?

  • Consumers Energy will rebate $7,500 for the installation of a public level 2 charger that will be open and accessible to residents of a Multifamily property such as an apartment building (Rebates are paid upon completion of installation. Limit one (1) rebate per site).

  • Consumers Energy will rebate $5,000 in public level 2 rebates for accommodation / hospitality sites(e.g., hotels, campgrounds, B&Bs) where overnight charging is likely to occur (Rebates are paid upon completion of installation. Limit one (1) rebate per site).
