Pacific Gas and Electric EV Charge Network
PG&E’s EV Charge Network program is helping to accelerate California’s transition to a clean transportation future by offering electric vehicle charger installation at select locations in PG&E’s service territory.
EV Connect has partnered with PG&E to provide electric vehicle charging at workplace and mult-unit dwellings throughout the PG&E territory. Read our press release here.
EV Connect is looking for potential site hosts interested in receiving top of the line charging stations at little to no cost. EV Connect already manages thousands of electric vehicle charging stations throughout California and the United States. Under this Program, site hosts will receive charging station equipment and installations all for a fraction of the cost. EV Connect will also be providing their innovative management and software solutions, making charging station management easy and interactive for every site host.
Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in California. The state is now pushing for a large increase in the adoption of electric vehicles. In 2012, Governor Brown signed an Executive Order calling for 1.5 million zero emission vehicles on our roads by 2025.
In December 2016, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved a three-year program to install 7,500 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at multi-unit dwelling and workplaces. The chargers will be installed throughout PG&E’s service territory between 2018 and 2020. If you have at least ten parking spots that can be used, this program provides an opportunity to contribute to California’s energy goals, while also improving your property. Learn about the program features and benefits, review supporting materials to help in your decision to participate, and find out how to prepare your application.
PG&E pays for the infrastructure to supply electricity to each EV parking space, and for a portion of the charging equipment.
Proceed through the planning, installation and activation process with the help and guidance of experienced EV Connect professionals.
