What is ACE’s EVsmart Program About?

Atlantic City Electric’s EVsmart Program provides incentives towards facilitating easy and cost-efficient installation of EV chargers. This supports New Jersey’s climate goals, helps improve air quality in the region, and helps the state prepare for the economic opportunities connected to the growing EV market.

*ACE’s incentives complement other state programs, including the Department of Environmental Protection’s It Pay$ to Plug in grant.

What are the Incentive Amounts Available in the Program?

ACE will rebate 75% of eligible installation costs - up to $5,000 per port; Multifamily properties in overburdened communities are eligible for rebates up to 100% of installation costs - up to $6,700 per port (limited to a maximum of 10 ports per site).
*Rebates are limited and available while supplies last.
ACE offers a 50% rebate of eligible installation costs - up to $4,000 per port (limited to a maximum of 10 ports per site).
*Rebates are limited and available while approved program funds last.
Commercial customers installing chargers for use by their fleet vehicles are eligible for rebates covering up to 50% of eligible installation costs up to $2,500 per port (limited to a maximum of 10 ports per site).

ACE rebates 90% of eligible installation costs - up to $60,000 per smart charging port (limited to a maximum of 2 ports per site).

ACE offers a 50% rebate of eligible installation costs - up to $4,500 per port (limited to a maximum of 2 ports per site).

To be eligible to receive incentives through the EVsmart Program:
You must be an active Atlantic City Electric customer and a commercial property owner. You will be required to provide Atlantic City Electric with charging data, as well as the costs the EV drivers pay to charge their vehicles.

*Term of the program beginning from February 17, 2021 and lasting until December 31, 2026 or until program funds are fully exhausted.
