Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Demonstration (EVID) program funding has now been fully reserved. If you still haven't received a reservation notice, you will receive a conditional reservation notice once your application has been approved. Projects may begin construction once you receive a conditional reservation notice, however, funds are not guaranteed until a reservation notice has been issued to you.

Nevada Energy PowerShift Incentive Program

NV Energy is the largest utility in Nevada, serving all of Las Vegas and other areas across the state. Their incentive program, Powershift, covers installation of EV charging stations. As an approved vendor, we’ll guide you through the entire process.

  • What are the Rebate Amounts?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Lesser of $5,000 per charging port or 75% of project costs. You can receive up to $50,000 per project.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Rebates are $400/kW per charging station, up to the lesser of $40,000 or 50% of project costs.

    What are the Program Requirements?

    • Charging stations may be installed in assigned parking spaces as long as there are already charging stations available for unassigned parking spaces.

    • Up to 50 percent of the connectors may be of a type that can only charge one vehicle make. However, those types of connectors are not eligible for the program's DCFC incentive of $400/kW.

    How many Ports?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Ranges from 2 to 10 connectors.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Ranges from 1 to 5 DCFC systems.

  • What are the Rebate Amounts?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Lesser of $5,000 per charging port or 75% of project costs. You can receive up to $50,000 per project.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Rebates are $400/kW per charging station, up to the lesser of $40,000 or 50% of project costs.

    What are the Program Requirements?

    • There is no restriction on the type of connector for Level 2 chargers.

    How many Ports?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Ranges from 2 to 10 connectors.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Ranges from 1 to 5 DCFC systems.

  • What are the Rebate Amounts?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Lesser of $3,000 per charging port or 75% of the project costs. You can receive up to $30,000 per project.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Rebates are $400/kW per charging station, up to the lesser of $40,000 or 50% of project costs.

    What are the Program Requirements?

    • Up to 50 percent of the first four connectors may be of a type that can only charge one vehicle make. Only 25 percent of any additional connectors after the first four may be of a type that only charges one vehicle make.

    • Connectors that only charge one EV make do not qualify for the DCFC incentive of $400/kW.

    • Charging stations must be available for all employees. They cannot be installed in parking areas restricted to specific workers.

    How many Ports?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Ranges from 2 to 10 connectors.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Ranges from 1 to 5 DCFC systems.

  • What are the Rebate Amounts?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Lesser of $10,000 per charging port or 100% of project costs up to $40,000.

    • NV Energy funds 75% of the total project cost (up to $7,500 per port), while the Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy (GOE) provides the remaining 25% (up to $2,500 per port).

    • Businesses, non-profits, schools, and public enterprises that install infrastructure for general public use are eligible.

    How many Ports?

    • Level 2 Chargers: Ranges from 2 to 10 connectors.

    • DC Fast Chargers: Ranges from 1 to 5 DCFC systems.

  • What are the Rebate Amounts?

    • Up to 75% of the total cost to purchase a new electric school bus and/or charging infrastructure.

    What are the Program Requirements?

    • Applicant must be a Public School, as defined in NRS 385.007.

    • School buses must solely attend to school routes.

  • This competitive custom grant program offers funding for charging infrastructure development projects that may not have qualified for the other EV charging stations incentive programs.

    Application Timeline:

    • The next cutoff date is March 31, 2022. NV Energy will review the application on April 2, 2022 and award on May 4, 2022.

    • The final cutoff date is June 30, 2022. Applications will be reviewed on July 2, 2022 and grants will be awarded on August 3, 2022.
