The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) is pleased to announce the 2017 Charge! Program, a sustainability program that offers funding to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing, installing, and operating new publicly available charging stations at qualifying facilities within the Air District’s jurisdiction.
The Bay Area aims to have 110,000 EVs on the road by 2020 and 247,000 by 2025, making the development of a charging station infrastructure critical to achieving their goals. Both public and private entities are eligible to apply. For 2017, $5 million is allocated to this program, and awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
